Ooh..Emmm. Geee..... please hold please hold please hold!!! 

I still have not packed a thing. I seem to be finding lots of stuff to fill my time during taper. Gotta get on that tonight!

Did anyone else just get that odd Last Minute Information email from ironman?? Did anything change??

I did see the advertisement for wetsuites..."Rent a wetsuit for Ford Ironman Louisville. $45 (plus shipping) will get you a fast, great fitting Aqua Sphere wetsuit to help you conquer the Ohio River while helping you reserve energy for the day ahead."

Are they for real??  Isn't it going to be too warm?? I wasn't planning on packing mine.

Looks like weather.com has already put out an hourly forecast for Sunday...

Awesome, snow! I haven't even seen snow since we moved from Kansas in 2008, and of course I love the sunshine and rainbow at midnight. Also love it how it will look like night time for an hour when I am out on the bike course.

Looks like I'll have to dress for a 650 degree temperature swing between 7 and 8 am.

And I an hoping to finish during the evening snow shower!!

Best of luck to all of you... I will be at the swim, in La Grange, and at the finish line cheering you on! (I'm so excited to get to watch my first IM in person that I can't even fathom how pumped you all must be to be actually racing it!!)

Swim this morning finished with my left shoulder experiencing some mild discomfort. I believe it will be fine by Sunday...or earlier.

Water Temperature?  I know this has been bantied about a few times, but does anyone know the water temperature.  I have trained for no wetsuit and have planned for no wetsuit-I wasn't planning on packing one.   But I have one bad wheel and the energy saved with the suit would be a nice suprise. 

Also worth keeping the fingers crossed for, the weather in La Grange (we will spend a large portion of our bike time in that area) says high of 82 right now!

I also read the last minute email from IM Louisville and actually laughed out loud at the section talking about renting wetsuits. That was pretty cruel of them though, and I hope they make it clear to anyone renting that the water temps will only be wetsuit legal if an ice glacier slides down from the north pole and gets stuck a mile up river... That being said, I am still packing mine just in case, there is no reason to give up the free speed in case of the unexpected!

Shoot. It didn't work, it was too big of a file. I'll come back later and describe it. It simplifies landmarks on the swim.

...and D-Law...Cube is killin' it. I laughed out loud.

Quick last minute question:

I read in the athlete guide that we are supposed to have reflective material on the front and rear of our tops. How much of a stickler are they on this? My top has no reflective material on it at all. Do I need to find some and sew it on?
