Taking a brief poll: if you had your choice to move to any city in the country, where would you go and why?

I'm vaguely considering relocating - not any time soon, as I've registered for Reston in September and just got a promotion, but am just curious. After the Matt fiasco, there's just too much baggage here in DC and I kinda feel like I need just go elsewhere.

You're vaguely considering relocating because of the "Matt fiasco."  What baggage?  Going out on a couple of pseudo-dates and having the thing not work out doesn't really constitute the sort of baggage that ought to necessitate moving.  I mean, really.

But if you are intent on letting Matt frighten you out of town, I suggest South Central PA, about an hour's time from Hagerstown.

No, it's not just Matt, specifically. Matt is just one more thing on the list, that's all. I just feel like there's not a whole lot else for me here and that perhaps I should go elsewhere.

Hilarious.

F*ck that... we have enough chicks like her around here.

I'm glad I decided to peak in here again, btw.

Peaking in?!?!  I call bull$hit.  That's twice in two days that you just 'happened' to pop in within minutes of a reference to you.

Because I want to move??? How is that drama? Like I said, I'm not fleeing because of Matt. Just a lot of different things - I don't feel like I'm really getting anywhere in DC, in general. Maybe it's time for a change. I've been here 4 years.

It's coincidence... I wouldn't lie to you. I looked in here first thing this morning, and it was lame-o. Then I looked again just now....

...and it's still lame-o

Well, that's a fair assessment seeing as we have beaten the same topic to death for the better part of 83 pages.

You need to move to Barrow, Alaska. All the men there know how to man the eff up. You can't be weak up there, you'd be in heaven. Don't think about it, just go!

I have a better one - Jacksonville, NC 51 male to 1 female ratio!!! They all are jar heads and they are definitely "manned up"...

First - Ryan, we know you want her...

Second - wurkit, Matt should have nothing to do
with your wanting to leave DC. Seriously. But if it's
something you had been thinking about previously, then
go for it. I love San Diego, but San Diegan men have never
really been my thing, so I don't know how much luck you'll have
there.

You need to go to fishing communities, Alaska, or the wilderness if you want
a place with a favorable guy:girl ratio. There's some town in Coloroda, I think,
that has the highest ratio. I don't remember what it's called....

Based on living in DC and not having enough.. That leaves (based on MSA size):

  1. New York
  2. LA
  3. Chicago
  4. Dallas
  5. Philadelphia
  6. Houston

DC is #7 in size... a place is what you make it, not what it makes you
