Subject: Long Winded Threads
Does anyone else click a thread that the subject line looks interesting only to click off when it is obviously TOO long? This is coming from someone that hates reading books but loves reading magazines and newspapers. Tell my what time it is, don't build me a watch. Just sayin.

What are you talking about? Long winded threads can sometimes get their points across.
Sure, it takes a while to read them, and sometimes longer to digest what the actual thread
is about, but usually, the poster will get their point across and then you'll know what they
were talking about, just in case a short winded thread didn't get the actual point across...know
what i'm saying about short vs. long winded threads? besides, long winded threads can tell
alot about who is writing...attitude, personality, education, circumstances, geographical location,
lifestyle, interests, beliefs, attitude, .... oh, short winded threads can do the same, but in a more
compact way....so long winded threads (and responses) should not be discounted due to the
amoutn of information that can be presented in them.....  Cool

Agree. Today with blogs and Facebook people think they are the next Ernest Hemingway.

My other peeve is people whose signature at the bottom of their posting is 64 words longer than their post. Nope, sorry don't care about your upcoming races, best times, cute quotes, etc.

Prince Charming: You! You can't lie! So tell me puppet... where... is... Shrek?
Pinocchio: Uh. Hmm, well, uh, I don't know where he's not
Prince Charming: You're telling me you don't know where Shrek is?
Pinocchio: It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not say that it is or isn't almost partially incorrect.
Prince Charming: So you do know where he is!
Pinocchio: On the contrary. I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably
Prince Charming: Stop it!
Pinocchio: ...do or do not know where he shouldn't probably be, if that indeed wasn't where he isn't. Even if he wasn't at where I knew he was

Pinocchio: That'd mean I'd really have to know where he wasn't.
