I'm liking the weather forcast for Sunday if anyone is interested in a 2 hour ride??
I'm thinking somewhere near Chatfield again, or maybe on the bike path towards REI downtown.
Anyone interested??

Sorry, I'd love to, but I'm off to Seattle for a girl's weekend!  Without children....none of them, not a one, just me, and grown-ups....can't remember what that's like.

On Sunday, I'll be at the spa getting a massage and pedicure...I'll be thinking of you guys!

Maybe.... you guys are awfully fast, though, aren't you? Maybe I'll come try to tag along, and no worries if you guys need to leave me behind.

Frankly, though, I think I'd rather go with Colomingle..... Seattle.....spa...... yes. definitely rather do that.

Hmm, I haven't been on a bike outside since the summer, just rollers.. but I've been thinking of getting out there again. what time and where are you meeting?
And don't worry about leaving me behind either..
And, yes, I would much rather be at the spa too...

There is a route from Santa Fe and Mineral that would take us all the way up to Morrison and back. It's kinda uphill going out and a fast downhill coming back. It's 90% on the C470 trail and the turn around is at Red Rocks with a short stop in Morrison for coffee. I'm thinkin we leave at 10:00am. How does that work for everyone?

I'm also doing a short run brick workout following the ride and everyone is welcome to join in on that too.

Maybe we should organize a BT spa day here in Denver.  We can even ride to the spa! ....I'm sure they'd love to give us all pedicures after we've ridden 30 miles!

I was thinking 10ish like last time?  I'm pretty flexible though.

Actually, there is also a full loop that goes Aspen Grove to Morrison (via c-470 trail) then to BCT and back to Sant Fe trail, but it's 35ish miles - usually a good 2 hour ride...  It's pretty flat - if you ride it one way there is one, short steeper hill, and the other way, there is a longer more gradual hill (and windy uphill usually...) but it's almost ALL on the trails and with a bigger group, it gets a little tight on those bike trails.

I'll be talked into just about anything though (except for high grade... )

When you say your going to do a short brick run, how long or far is that???(remember you said short. I need to do a run and a brick could work. What type of pace?

It should only be for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Doesn't look like I'll get to play with you guys this time.  The team is doing a Criterium Clinic at AST.  Assuming I'm over this flu thing, means I will get to suffer hard on Sunday.  Have fun out there.

I would think that the trails will be clear. It's all pretty exposed to sunlight, unlike downtown, and it's supposed to be in the fifties for the next couple of days. I for one don't care where we ride as long as it's outside and we're moving forward! I can not do another two hour ride on the trainer!

I have pretty toes!

Ok, count us in then, what time (10am sounds good) and where exactly?

Somehow I don't believe that

Aspen Grove is a shopping center at Mineral and Santa Fe. There is a small parking lot on the West side (and kinda behind) of the shopping center. I drive a silver Dodge truck so if you see that, you're there.

OK, my toes aren't really that pretty!

Hey all,

I just did the South Platte trail towards REI.  All is good.  There was one slick spot, and a few wet spots under the overpasses, but nothing to worry about.  Just be careful of the weekend warriors.  Based on how many people were out there today on a Friday afternoon, it will be crowded on Sunday.  A fastmoving peleton might freak people out, so be careful

 Have fun!

Dammit.  Y'all are going to ride RIGHT past my sister's house where I'm staying...but I'm busy at 10am

I rode part of the trail on Friday as well.  Lots of bikers out there and there are some icy spots under the overpasses.  I had never been on my bike on ice before...SO weird...
