Which organization is hosting the event?
Do you have any idea when the race date is?

Wow, this is interesting for sure...I mean..what are the odds they'd do something like this in, of all places, QUASSY???  I'll keep my eye on this...although it's probably too close to IMLP for me...that course was tough for Griskus...good for fans of hills!

This will be a great tune up for L.P 6 weeks out.

..you may be right although I prefer the long, slow, tortureous climbs of LP to those fast steeper-grade monsters out by Quassy...seeing that was my first tri & I've definitely improved in the cycling department...well, I just might be game!

this is the same weekend as Mooseman...could be a tough call...

I fear first year races put on by unknown race production companies!

I just did an inaugural 70.3 event in NJ this weekend and I too will forever fear first time events. Putting on a 70.3 race takes great care and it has to be done right or it can really fall short.

Mooseman was my first and second HIM. Jerseyman my 3rd (yesterday). I have to say that I am spoiled by the great event management done by the Mooseman RDs.

Racers beware!

$250 and no information about the course?  Are they kidding?  Yeah, I'll be registering for that right away.

true!

I guess if pros are doing it, there a good chance it'll be well organized. Weighing it against Mooseman as my tuner for LP. Like the idea of not having to make that long trip to NH again and getting a different race under my belt. But, like that I know what to expect with the Moose...

Don't knock it till you tri it, the money spent traveling to New Hampshire, followed by lodging, gas and other goodies, a HIM in CT might be well worth it. $250 is a bit steep, but it's right in our own backyard!. Of course the race might totally suck too! But as it is the 1st year, we will never know until it actually occurs.

Hey guys.

Sorry for being an "absentee" BTer for the last few months.  In reference to this race, I'll actually be posting an interview I just did with Heather Gollnick within the next week at www.gotrimax.com.  She goes into pretty good detail about the race, the race's amenities and why they chose Quassy.

Also, her husband was just up here last week to do some videotaping of the course to put on the website.  Regardless of the cost or the pros already committed, this will be a killer race with at least 5000 feet of climbing.  So, get used to the little ring and start hitting the weight room this winter!
