Subject: RE: If you have a FB account......I reported it as well, and feel so lucky that I live in an area where cyclists are respected for the most part. That page is scary. I'll never forget seeing the aftermath of a cyclist/car accident last year while I was on a run. I didn't see it happen, but I did see the mangled bike on the ground and the cyclist being put into the ambulance. He looked alert and not seriously hurt, thank god! It was chilling, and a reminder of how powerless we are against thousands of pounds of moving metal. One thing that does anger me is the mass of inconsiderate "cyclists" here in San Francisco. They dart in and out of traffic, run reds and stop signs, and race about without helmets or consideration/respect for other cyclists, pedestrians, and cars. They give those of us who safely follow the rules of the road such a bad name in some circles (circles of ignorant Facebook users apparently ). Hopefully the page will be taken down because regardless of free speech, it promotes violence. Anything that encourages and specifically tells people to hurt others should not be considered free speech. It's really a crime. |
