Got this email from the RD

Hi,

Happy New Year!   Registration has opened for the 8th Annual JCC Triathlon by the Sea, May 11, 2008. Please keep in mind we have sold out each of the last two years. Two years ago, we sold out two weeks before the race. Last year, we sold out one month before the race. This race will fill up quickly.

You can register two ways:

1.)     Active.com: Go to the link below to register for the race via active.com.

http://www.active.com/page/Event_Details.htm?event_id=1491149&assetId=17d149ea-73fb-4ad8-9af6-14b11755168a

2.)     JCC Website: This will be our third year of taking registration over our website. We do not charge any extra fees. On this page you will need to add an individual or relay triathlon registration to your cart. When you check out it will ask for more info like shirt size, swim time and more. Here is the link to our website: https://linux.brightworkinc.net/~jccnsorg/8thannualtriathlonbythesea125.html

Race seeding: When registering, you MUST give a swim time. The race will be seeded by swim times given. Please be as accurate as possible. The swim leg is 250 yards or 10 lengths of our pool.

Timing: We are pleased to have Granite Sate Timing Company back on board for the race. They have provided great chip timing for the past two years.

Relays: This year we have changed the name of the team category to relay. There was some confusion in the past about this. A relay has two or three people doing one race. If the relay has three people, each one does one leg of the race. If the relay has two people, one person does two legs of the race and the other does one leg of the race.

I hope you are having a great winter and good luck this coming season.

Thanks,

 Andrew

It was my first last year as well.  Don't worry... it's a great race for first timers.  You'll have plenty of company.

Well put on, low pressure, nice course, and you don't have to worry about getting beat up in the swim!

Well, tomorrow is the big day... I am still not sure I am going to be able to participate and it is frustrating the crap out of me.
I have had a fever the last couple of days, but that is gone. However, now I have a sore throat, I hope it is gone by tomorrow morning.

Breaking the fever means you're getting better.  Hope you recover soon

The fever is completely gone and my throat is only a little scratchy... which means I'll be there tomorrow morning!!! I'll be wearing a bright red Nautica swimsuit (no speedos for this kid), then a white red and gray trek / bontrager cycling jersey.
Just in case that description is not specific enough and there is more than one person wearing this, I'll probably be the one in the back of the pack.

See y'all tomorrow!!!
