This is my second set of goggles I ruined!
When I wipe the goggles inside with a soft paper tovel it all get scratched!
Is the lens that soft or is there a special coating?
I spreyed Speedo Anti Fog and wiped it with paper towel and the inside of the lens looked like an ice skating ring.

Paper towels are generally not good for glasses/goggles (even soft ones are too abrasive).  You need to use something like a soft tissue or special wipes you would use on a camera lens.

I actually try not to wipe my goggles with anything.  Just try to rinse them with clean cold water after (and sometimes before) using them.

I don't use anything on my goggles. They seem like they are just cheap plastic and they'd scratch easily. When I used to wear glasses (yeah Lasic!!!) I only used very old soft t-shirts to clean them or a silk rag from my glasses guy. As I look at my goggles they are pretty scratched up from just carrying them into the pool them back to the car. I'm guessing it's the car thats causing the scratches.

Don't use any paper towels to wipe them. That will do the damage. If your looking to clean them I just rinse mine in cold water after every swim and use my thumbs to wipe them.

Here's what I do with mine

  1. Lick them to prevent fogging (forget nasty chemicals that dont work any better than spit)
  2. Dip in pool
  3. Shake goggles vigorously to get rid of excess water
  4. put goggles on and swim
  5. rinse goggles under fresh water in shower after swim
  6. repeat

I seem to get about four to six months or so out of a pair before they start to leak I buy cheap ones to begin with.
