Good luck to everyone running the Carlsbad half and full marathon. I'll be running in my Chargers jersey, GO BOLTS! I hope to be able to stay with the 1:45 pace group.

Looks like it's going to be another beautiful day to run.

Good luck everyone! I'm running Surf City in 2 weeks, so I'll be there tomorrow just as a cheerleader. The weather is going to be perfect for a marathon.

Got my race packet this morning. Love the fact that the shirts aren't just your typical cotton tees, but instead something you can actually run in.

This event looks HUGE! Saw on the news that this event sold out at 10,000 people registered. Wow!

Can't wait!

The conditions were absolutely perfect, cold before the start... but felt great the whole way.

I had a bunch of friends running the race and it seemed everyone PR'd! We were all so happy with our races.

I had a goal of breaking 1:45 so I ran with the 3:30 marathon pace group (thanks Roger) for the first 5 miles and felt good so I let loose after the split. I was wearing my Chargers jersey so I got a lot of cheers along the way.

Chip time- 1:41:46. I PR'd by over 6 minutes!

I had a great time and achieved my goals of running the whole way, not finishing last, and having fun.

I also had a great time. I worried about finishing as well as throwing up in front of 10,00 people,LOL but went out on my first ever half in did 2:15:04, I surprised the Hell out of myself.

Hahaa... Same here. I got to about mile 11 and all of a sudden thought I might loose my cookies right there for some reason. Figured it might be a bit embarrassing, but I wasn't about to slow down for it.

Finished much better than my goal time with a 1:44:59. My previous long runs have always been done at high 9, low 10 minute mile pace, so I was beyond thrilled to come in averaging a 7:54 mile. I guess the LSD runs, plus some intervals do really translate to significantly faster race times. I thank my coach (Mike Plumb) for this.

The course was also slightly longer than a normal 1/2 at 13.3 miles, so the calculated pace time on their results sheet is incorrect. This has been confirmed by several other people also using GPS's.

Will be doing it again in 2 weeks at the Surf City 1/2. Can't wait!
