Pre-race routine:

Woke up, toast with penut butter and oatmeal. Coffee, twosy and off.
Event warmup:

Not much warm up. A couple of laps around the parking lot. Wore shorts which I am very glad I did.

I felt great. I didn't know what to expect considering the time of year. I wanted to run 7:30s and consistently hit that within 10 seconds. Actually ran around 7s the final 5k. Took in Gatorade at every water stop and Gu at 55 min and 1:20. Felt a slight cramp in right hamstring at mile 10 but held back a bit and it quickly felt better.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, maybe turn it on a little earlier than I did.

Course: Some rolling hills. Spots along Craigville beach. Nice coarse. Windy at times but with so many competitors, it was easy to block it. Seemingly accurate mile markers and water every two miles at first, then every mile.
