Total Time = 00m
Overall Rank = /
Age Group = Female
Age Group Rank = 12/21
Pre-race routine:

Got to site and set up transition area in the locker room. Walked around to get the lay of the land and see where the bikes and treadmills were and how I was going to get there so I wouldn't get lost.
Event warmup:

Got in the water and swam a couple of laps breaststroke and free style stretched in the water.
Swim
  • 10m
  • 425 yards
  • 02m 21s / 100 yards
Transition 1
  • 05m
Comments:

WE had a 5:00 minute transition time to get from the pool to the bike. I felt good geting through T1 and going on the bike.
Bike
  • 20m
  • 6.25 miles
  • 18.75 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike went well I'm not sure if I gave it all I could. Running is my weak event and I may have held back a bit.
Transition 2
  • 02m
Comments:

Walke dover to a treadmill adn stretched my hams and quads a bit I took advantage of the 2 min window to start running to get my heart rate down a little and stretch. I was feeling pretty tired by this point.
Run
  • 20m
  • 1.79 miles
  • 11m 10s  min/mile
Comments:

I felt OK on the run. I kept feleing like a side stitch was coming on so I didn't increase the pace as I had planned to. I did increase it for the last 3 minutes for a little kick and to make sure I surpassed my goal. For while i actually got into a rythm and felt pretty good.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around a bit and strethed out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My running endurance and speed.

Event comments:

Overall I had a lot of fun at this race and plan to do the other 2 in the series. It was also good to meet a fellow BTer and his family. We happened to have the same start time. It was a good distance for winter since I'm just coming out of the transition zone and heading to prep. I was able to complete it and not be so tired that I couldn't make it to 2 Christmas open houses later in the day.

Overall it was a good race and I am happy with my performance.

Great job Sue! You met or exceeded all of your goals and targets. I didn't see any of your swim, but you looked great on the bike and the run. Congratulations on your great race.
