Comments:

This run was very crowded which involved lots of dodging and weaving in the until about 4-5 km.the run thru the Tunnel was fun but a bit warm so I did look forward to exiting. It was at about this stage that I realized that I would probably need a Pit Stop despite taking 2 immodium prior to the start. Oh well maybe I'll just have to factor this into my run times from now on.
Luckily the toilets at the 6km mark were queueless so it was a reasonably(considering the circumstances) quick in and out.
Feeling much better I approached one of the only hills on the course (the Bolte Bridge) but compared to what I have done in training it wasn't too daunting.
Down the other side of the Bridge and wouldn't you know it I strart to get the stitch which sometimes haunts me in my runs. I dicided that I now know how to hurt so I would run thru it(and I did).
I started to tighten up toward the end of the run but seeing I had not even run this distance in training what else could I expect.
I really started to look for the finish andit sure felt like the km markers were long.
Really happy to finish and at first I wasn't ecstatic about my time but when I see the pace I ran I'm pretty pleased.

What would you do differently?:

Do more longer slower paced endurance runs(in fact doing any proably would have been wise).
Lose weight .
Work on pre race nutrition.
Post race
Warm down:

Dash to the loo.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of longer runs and needing to sort out my toilet issues.
