Comments: this was basically a training day preparing for the Boston Marathon in a couple of weeks. Went out with my usual long run pace which is around 45sec to 1minute slower than my goal race pace. The weather was a bit nicer than it had been and was about perfect for long sleeves and shorts. Did around an 8:00-8:15/mile pace for the first 16 miles, then tried my goal marathon pace 7:10-7:20 for the last 4 miles and it felt pretty comfortable and I was able to finish feeling pretty strong. What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: had a few vitamin waters. grabbed my bag. hung out with Rob. waited for Ted. caught the bus back to Hampton and had pizza, cookies, etc. watched the award ceremony What limited your ability to perform faster: no problems here Last updated: 2008-03-31 12:00 AM

Early breakfast with my friend Ted from work who was also running. Met up with Rob and drove down to Hampton Beach. Got off the turnpike in Wells and found the race start and drove the first 17 miles or so.
Hung out in the gym at the HS for about 2 hours while waiting for the event to start. Some leg massage and light stretching.
