Pre-race routine:

One Hammer Perpetuem 2 hours before racing. 2 cups of coffee.
Event warmup:

Sprints to get the lactic acid built up, then spin it out.

4 packs of Hammer Perpetuem in about 40 oz of water kept me from cramping. However, I came in 11th out of 12 in my age group. Sport class is an eye-opener for sure.
What would you do differently?:

Wish I could have raced faster, but I did the best I could.

Warm down:

Banana, whey protein, then a free hot dog and Hammer Heed.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Hmmmm, since I got so involved in triathlon, my mtb skills have gone downhill. Oh well, tri much more fun.

Event comments:

Race was very well organized with free food afterwards. Staff was very friendly, lots of voulnteers. Kudos to Montgomery Bell park rangers as well!
