Comments: I hit the first mile marker at about 9 minutes on my watch. I used the bathroom at the 2nd mile marker before the Hayes Street Hill. Took my time on the hill, so I think that my pacing was great - the sun was starting to come up and I was starting to feel the heat by the top of the hill. But once I hit Fell Street and then went into the fog of Golden Gate Park, I felt great and picked up the pace. Every time I saw a naked person, I'd speed up and try and pass him. Some of them were actually pretty fast! What would you do differently?: Train for more than a month beforehand. This is my second race in two weekends, and only my second race overall. I've only been training about 4 weeks now. I felt really good about the race today though. I'm happy with how I performed overall. Post race
Warm down: Walked around the Footstock expo and picked up lots of samples and stuff. What limited your ability to perform faster: Training, experience Last updated: 2008-04-21 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:15am, dressed in my costume, drove with my brother down to find a parking spot in the SoMa neighborhood.
Sat in the car until about 30 minutes before the gun, because it was really cold outside. Ate a banana and drank half a bottle of water. Did a light jog and used the restroom before finding the big crowd of runners.
