Pre-race routine:

Got up early in order to have breakfast (yogurt, banana, breakfast bar) then meet some friends near the starting area at Mission and Embarcadero.
Event warmup:

Rachel dropped me off about a mile from the start and I jogged and did a couple of strides to get the blood flowing.

Comments:

I ran as well as I could, given the crowds. I knew this race would be part people watching/dodging and part racing. I enjoyed all aspects of the run.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe get there earlier in order to get towards the front. I' could easily take a minute and half off the first 3 miles. But, I'm not sure that's worth it at this race... too much to see!
Post race
Warm down:

Walk to footstock, drink water, and scarf down a polish sausage... yum!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My age, genetics, and loss of head hair.... oh, and those 30,000 other folks running, too.

Event comments:

A fun race, for sure. You've gotta be in the right frame of mind though, as this is more a costume party than a running race. The people watching was awesome!

You were awesome! I can't believe how well you did muscling through all the people in those first few miles. And those last few miles -- hello, Mr. Speedy.

Next year, you run it naked. Clearly you need the extra challenge.
