Woke up early, took a shower, ate breakfast (banana w/ peanut butter and oatmeal), loaded the car, and drove an hour and a half to the race.
Event warmup:

Not really much of a warm up, more like a "calm me down". I was not looking forward to the swim. I stretched on the pool deck and just stayed warm.

Got that first one out of the way, good for you! Ask Dave how his first one went....I'm thinking that everyone's first tri is a little crazy, I'm sure mine will be! Good job!

Great job on your first TRI!!! The bike course is a tough one compaired to most and you are right about the rolling hills part being a bit misleading. I have had the chance to ride the course a couple of times while I have been in the area, but unfortunately on race day I had to do over half of it on foot after I blew a tire(made for a long day...I am the last person listed in the 30-34M age group results).

That had to be the flattest run course I have ever been on...Fast, you put up a great time especially considering how the legs want to feel after riding those hills.

Once again, great first triathlon and good luck to you in future races.
