Tim Dewho? I can totally beat him. OK maybe not, but that will be cool to see him get way ahead at the beginning.

I'm doing the short course. It's the only Sprint I was able to do this year that I've done every year since I started tri'ing. Looking forward to comparing my times!

i tried running the course today and didnt do the course right.... i missed the area by 1.25 miles. on the back side of the couse i turned right after the 2nd bridge i think. and it took me back up to the begining of the damm bridge.

I was looking on the map and some where there is a turn around after the part that i turned... is it marked off some where or will there just be a cone and a few voulenteers?

i did the short corse last year and it didnt seam like there where that many people out there in the woods

Make sure to figure it out before race day.  A couple dozen people were DQed in Topeka for taking a wrong turn on the bike.

Oh, and if you could leave a trail of breadcrumbs for me, that would be great.

My friend was one of those in Topeka. KLM's directional signage at the turn was UPSIDE DOWN and there was a POLICE CAR blocking the correct long-course bike route. According to my friend who was DQ'd. Apparently you're supposed to ignore signage and blow past the squad car in a KLM race... you know, because the athlete is responsible for knowing the race course.
Amazing.

I did a brick on Friday and for the first time ran the long course in the park. That last mile shallow uphill out of the trail toward the levee and the finish is going to hurt. I did a 22mi bike and a 3mi run per my plan and went into a "cooldown" for the last 1.5mi of the run. Cooldown proved to be more challenging than my first 3mi. My first 3mi splits were 6:50,6:30,6:50. I can see myself dialing that a little back to save for that final climb. It is going to be both fun and painfull.

Anyone know how to volunteer for this race? I looked on the website and it says to leave your name and number, but it doesn't tell you where to leave it.
