Swim
  • 12m 46s
  • 880 yards
  • 01m 27s / 100 yards
Comments:

For my second OWS ever, this was surprisingly not that bad. The waves didn't effect my breathing at all. The start was pretty rough since i had never done a wave start before. My stroke still needs a lot of work.
Transition 1
  • 01m 22s
Comments:

Did alright, wasn't bad at all.
Bike
  • 1h 15m 11s
  • 24.5 miles
  • 19.55 mile/hr
Comments:

I was really chugging and felt bad b/c i got passed by a lot of people on the bike but for me i think i did well around what i expected. I guess since i have only been riding since May I will get better. I am going to fiddle with clip-on aero bars this next week i think. Oh, and not to mention i lost a water bottle on the 4th mile...hah.
What would you do differently?:

Faster more consistent
Transition 2
  • 00m 47s
Comments:

peice of cake and off to the races!.
Run
  • 45m 14s

Comments:

I did well not drinking too much during late stages of bike so as to not feel bad at the start of the run. I seemed fine and doused myself at each station so i kept cool fine. Didn't cramp at all.
What would you do differently?:

Push more...
Post race
Warm down:

Douse myself with water and drink a lot. Eat post-race food..

Haha... I lost a bottle last year, too.  Which was also the first time I did it.

Don't feel bad about getting passed on the bike in this race, man.  There are some serious horses that show up for this one.  You did great for your first time, especially considering how long you've been riding.  And that is one hell of a good 10k you threw out there.

Great race!

haha, yea... those bottles sure do get slippery. Luckily i purchased the 3-pack.  Thanks, yea... i definately figured I was up against some good competition on the bike leg when every 2 outta 3 people that passed me sounded like "Whoaop Whoaop Whoaop".  Hey, if you every wanna try to get together and train anytime I will be around since I am at the UMC campus next year. I don't really know many of the local Tri people.
