Subject: Closest Hotels to Ironman Arizona
Hi...My family and I are planning on attending the 2008 Ironman in Arizona... We have kids, so we would like to find the closest hotel to the start/finish/festivities/etc. Does anyone know what hotels are within walking distance?? I am sure most are sold out, but we still would like the information so we can go on the cancellation lists....

Courtyard Marriott (on Mill, I think), is about 2 -3 blocks from the finish chute

I used both the IronMan Arizona site, as well as Expedia's map view to find the closest hotels.

Both Springhill Suites By Marriott and the Best Western Inn of Tempe seem to be pretty close, and reasonable, as compared to the official hotel of Tempe Mission Palm Hotel.
