I'm in for sure.  Just registered.  Doing the 80 mile option and hoping not to pass out from heat/humidity stroke!

haha- I've ridden a few 2 hour rides since May- so I don't know how long I will stay on the main group. Last year, I didn't have enough water with me, so around 85miles, I tried to stop quickly, reload, and then try to catch back onto to the 4hr express. Didn't happen, and I struggled to the finish, worn out. Those last 15miles, people were getting shelled off the back like peanuts b/c of the heat.

The main group is a lot of fun and not too difficult if you sit in. Some spots you will have to grit your teeth and hang on (on some rollers), but its' the fact that they don't stop at all that makes it difficult- especially if you don't have enough liquids..

Also- be carefull of the railroad crossing near the end of the 100 ride. There was a good wreck in the main pack.

I'm starting at 8 with the group. Come join Andrew- you'll be done with 100 in just over 4hrs....

I agree wtih what Dan said about the food.- just your basic spaghetti, bread and salad wtih lemonade/tea/water. I'm bringing a beer for post ride and my own grub I think

Sounds like a good group.  I just got an e-mail from the race director.  I'm so excited, they refered to us as the "peleton".  It's just so Tour de France!  I feel like an "official" rider now!

Also in the e-mail, the will have a team tent with coffee.  Shall we try to meet up there at around 7:45?  I'm planning to sit out the start and head out after the kiddies clear the area.  I'm petrified of falling in my clips with the start and go.

Weather looks like it should stay tolerable until noonish http://www.weather.com/outlook/health/allergies/wxdetail/USGA0144?dayNum=1&from=weekend

Felix (Zaichikmiller), Amy (TryingTri2007), Amy's parents, and Chris Zimmer are all going to be there.

Great ride!  Sorry I missed you at the start.  We got there a little latter than planned.

Good to see you Lisa B.  Maybe next time we can actually talk a little before the ride?

When's the next ride planned around here?
