Subject: RE: Poll on RHRLaying down makes a big difference. It only gets that low at peak fitness when well rested during marathon training. I am not certain how low it is right now, sitting up last night it was 49. That is pretty typical for me sitting up. I have heard a lot about using elevation of resting heart rate to reflect overtraining etc. While I think it roughly correlates with my fitness, I have not found it as useful for detecting "overtraining". Too many things impact the resting HR number and I find I can influence it based on my mental state (3-4bpm ). All in all they are just numbers. |
