after 2 rounds of golf, and two tri training sessions, i got on the scale last night and was pleasntly surprised with 237.  And that was with my birthday on Friday and all the goodies that accompany it.

Where are we going to post weekly weigh ins?  It might be easier/less confusing if we had a separate thread each week, but I can go either way.

I'd like everyone to get their weekly weigh-ins to me Monday mornings.  I'll update the chart and get it posted by the evening, so we can watch each others' progress!

I'd rather keep it in just one thread.  A new thread each week has a tendency to lose people -- if they've subscribed to this thread, they won't miss any activity as the weeks go by.

So get your weights to me today, everyone!  The best way is to just post your new weight here in this thread.  (My weigh in this morning was depressing -- I crept up almost a pound to 202.2... time to focus!!!)

I had planned a rest day this morning, which meant I didn't get to the gym (which has the scale I normally use). I'll update first thing tomorrow morning!

I know I'm a week late for the post but I'd like to join in. Renting a beach house w/ friends for the summer has killed my eating habits. So i put on 7lbs in 2 months, and need to get back on track with 2 more Du's before the end of the season,

So please count BM in weighing in at 207 as of this AM.

If I can make 20 by thanksgiving, it will be 45lbs in a yearSealed

Ok everyone, here is the current list showing everyone's starting weight and change over time.  I also plan to keep track of how much we've lost as a group -- it's the number at the bottom right.  This week we have a net of 2.4 pounds lost as a group, though several of us (including me) gained weight from last week.

Hey that looks really good, thanks for doing this! My training plan starts on Sunday for my 12 week build up to my 'A' race, and I'm back on track with my eating, so I'm ready to lose some flab!

I would really love to join if possible.  I think I might help me to feel accountable to a team (re: cumulative weight loss) rather than just myself.  Last Mon I was 151 and now I'm 155.  Next week will be better

My problem lately is that there have been so many get togethers for weddings and bdays that in order to make those, it takes time away from training plus adds on everything that I eat there.  Any suggestions for either just not starting to snack at events or keeping it in moderation?  Or just some motivation to workout even if I only have 20min.  What has helped people in the past when these sorts of situations come up?

 Thanks!  Happy Wednesday!

Rlmorga --

I understand about the difficulty with events like birthday parties and weddings. I've found a couple of things very helpful -- first, I make sure that I eat something healthy before I go -- otherwise, I just end up there really hungry and eating way too much. For weddings or other longer events, I make sure to head for fruits first ( I have a huge sweet tooth and this tends to help) and sometimes to bring something small but high in fiber with me.

Hope that's helpful!
