Great! :-(
It looks like "EVERYONE" is going to be at the Crim, in Flint, the day before this one. Bummer, there were many of you BT'ers that I was hoping to see/meet on Sunday...but it looks like it'll have to wait until next year.
Maybe the organizers of this one won't schedule this race so close to one of the most popular races in Michigan.
"...what were they thinking?"...

Don't give up on Bluewater. We should be able to have some fun.

Anyone interested in carpooling from the western wayne county area (I'm in Canton) and like to get to races early, but wouldn't mind some company for the drive as my support crew of my wife and cheer leading daughter are tied up Sunday morning. I have room for at least 2 in my truck with the bed and a hitch rack to carry two other bikes easily. May be able to fit a third rider if needed.

PM me if interested.

Now lets see what kind of weather we may have. My prediction is for one of two or the combo.

Hot and Humid

Rainy and Stormy

Or like Muncie HIM a combo of both.

Sorry
Steve

If Nelg shows up along with his Greyhound triathletes, we can meet at his canopy. Was it a KHS canopy?

I'm sure Glen will post an update. I never met up with Matt3Liv to get his, and Trixie's doing something to that poor purple alien that I wanted to put on the canopy.

Maybe I am alittle crazy, but I am in for both. That way I should have lots of weather options.

Im signed up for Blue Water to. I was going to do CRIM also, but still recouping a little from IM, and knowing I would go hard at both, Im opting for the Tri. A little bummed because I love the CRIM!! But Id like to get a few more tris in while I still can.

I'm doing the Blue Water Oly and am carpooling with at another Greyhound (I think- Kimm?) and do believe there might be 4 of us.  Not sure about the tent though- it doesn't fit in my car.

See you there!  (Hoping for dry until the run, that's my only weather request).

If there's a tent and your still swimming at the Livonia Y, I can meet up and throw it in the truck if needed for Sunday. I'm off on Wed and Fri.

I think I'll be driving both Kimm, Jaclyn and a KHS tent. It will probably be my final tri of the year.

See you guys there!

Sweet! Hope it's cool with you if we turn your tent into a BT meeting spot?

I will be there doing a sprint, hanging with the greyhounds and hopefully some BT'ers.  This will probably be my last of the year.  I have a pink dinosaur(from T-rex tri) that I could bring, its not a purple alien but it is noticeable.

Glen, I'll let you bring the tent and some sushi(girl).  Jo, bring that dino along and lets rawk the pawty!  Do pink and orange look good together?

Allright! It sounds like a party after all. I will look for you folks at the KHS? tent. (and I'll keep my eyes out for aliens and dinosaurs!)

As of yesterday...the water was beautiful. The oly bike route is awesome and if the weather holds out, the run will be also.

FYI-Last year there was about 115 competitors out there.
The local paper says that there are, at this time, over 3000 with more expected as last minute sign ups.
Way cool. Maybe this thing will turn out to be a real good one!
We'll see...

Other than having to stop for traffic, a fantastic race! I really liked the venue other than the one major intersection we had to deal with. The swim was clean but kinda funky with the water depth and current. The run course was way cool, how often do you get cheered on by people drinking their morning coffee on the back porch?

A big shout out to all my Greyhounds and BT peeps, we put the hurt on the medal pile today. I think four hounds went home with 1st and 2nd place finishes! Ranger Dave is crazy enough to Crim on Saturday and Oly on Sunday, big props indeed!

I just may have to come back and do this event again next year even after my re-location.

Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you, when I looked over at your tent I didn't see many folks, but met most of the BT crew that was there.

I was lucky enough not to get stopped at the intersection and thought it was a really great race overall, though I found the cold pizza sucked. If that's the worst I can come up with on a race I'm willing to deal with it.

I know my swim time is pathetic due to the current, and holding back a bit on a nice pair of feet.

Nice job everyone! I liked the race and venue. Didnt dig the swim too much, way too slow with way too long of a walk/dive/swim/walk to get back to shore. The headwind on the bike on the way out sucked a little to, but the way back was nice Hopefully this venue will continue to grow a bit more!

It was a great race.  A lot of fun and a very cool venue.  I loved the swim, NO WEEDS and lots of room to get away from people.  The bike was nice and flat and the run was cool through the neighborhood and great lake scenery.

Rottieguy, its too bad we missed you.

Congrats to all my fellow greyhounds!  What a great showing of greyhound force!  You all dominated your age groups, way to go!  Ranger, I am in awe of all the races you do and with a smile on your face.  I always appreciate your encouragement.

This one is on my radar to do again next year.  It was a great race to finish the season.  I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Swimming and yoga, here I come.  Okay, maybe some biking and running too.  Lets just face it, I'll probably just add yoga into my routine.

Had a great time today with all the bt/greyhound racers.  Great job!!  Congragulations to all the racers ,was a lot of fun.  The venue and 3d did a very nice job, had no issues except my swimming. Which is my off season goal.
