the short reply is the one that fits you best. not being glib, but no seat fits the same on any two people. I, for example, went through 5 saddles, before i found on that fits me. If you havve an LBS, that you like, talk with them, they might be willing to work with you on different saddles.

the very last piece of the puzzle is the bike seat. the first piece of the puzzle is gettting fit to the bike properly.

find someone who is qualified and will take the time to properly fit you to your bike.

after buying 5 + expensive bike seats and not finding the answer, i finally spent 150 bucks to have a qualified individual spend 2 solid hours with me on the floor laying down, measuring, taking my bike a apart, power meters, measuring angles etc etc etc and man was that the best money i ever spent.

the seat was the last thing he adjusted and i never thought a bike could be as comfortable as my bike currently is.....

Which bike seat saddle do you think is the most comfortable ???

Fixed that for you.

As for the question, IMO after trying a few saddles, I found my piece of heaven in the ISM/Blackwell Research Adamo Race model.

much like sty, my backside also became very friendly with the ISM Adamo saddle. should you choose it, i must throw out this disclaimer.....BEWARE, YOUR A$$ IS GOING TO HURT THE FIRST FEW RIDES YOU DO....just suffer through it and when your backside becomes accustomed to the saddle, cheering will ensue. i have friends that sit on my bike because i rave about the saddle, and they say its like sitting on concrete. to each his/her own

The best bike seat is the one that fits you the best.  Period.

I happen to be an adamo lover, but it may not be the saddle for you.

Yeah, unfortunately this is not a one size fits all or even most.  I love my Specialized Jett personally.  Definitely took some getting used to as it forced me to sit right on my sit bones which I wasn't used to but now I love it.

The most comfortable saddle is...

More riding time to firm up your azz!  Hate to say it, but while a different saddle may help some, getting in riding time and firming up the ol' glutes and taint will make most ANY saddle much more comfortable.

I ride on a Fizik and like it.  But training your nether regions to handle saddle-time will get you more in the end.  Wink

Ditto the above about bike fit first and each person is different.

For me: ISM Adamo and no other

I will swear by the Selle SMP Evolution.  The first time I got on the seat (after dialling it in on the trainer) I actually looked down to check I was sitting on something.  It literally felt like I was sitting on nothing (this is not an exageration - a silly as it sounds).  I have down close to 1000 kms (including rides up to 125kms) on it now and will not go back to a traditional seat.

Like the Adamo it's not for everyone, but certainly worth the investment to give it a go - I know some stores in the US will loan these out for trials.

I love my adamo.  Granted I still get pressure on my seat bones but not my tender junk.  I will take pressure on my seat bones any day over the other option.
