Subject: Rode the new S.C. section in cedartown, awesome.
Rode from Rambo out to mile 47 ish and that is where they have completed the last section of the comet ,goes to mile 50. This section is cool Very hilly you will need to be ready for it when you get there. Funny, Hilly and the comet don't go together but just wait till you try it. Watch your speed on the corners as I saw a guy go into the weeds on his road bike!!!

I was just out there last weekend. I saw where they had leveled the land, but they hadn't laid any concrete or asphalt yet. Totally awesome. We are so blessed to have such a long car free trail to train on...

That is what it means! The guy at the trailhead in cedartown said that it is done all the way into Alabama. Says some people go there spend the night and ride back the next day.That is hear say as I have not gone into ala on the comet.
Have fun and be careful on that new section fast, hilly with some turns.

I've been out there, too... those hills definitely do surprise you, and the first one of any significance is short but, as jrm pointed out, you need to be ready for it.  The SCT is an awesome resource we're lucky to have and if you start further west of Floyd (I like starting in Hiram), weekend crowding is a non-issue.
