Nope not the "it still hurts problem", my seat feels fine.  The other day the padding from the right side of the nose slipped down to the side leaving my sit bones sitting on metal and leather.  I've written Blackwell and am awaiting a response but was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

The seat has only been used since February and only by me.

Did you buy it directly from Blackwell? If not, I would suggest contacting the retailer that sold it to you, or go through Tampa Bay Recreation who own the ISM brand: [email protected]

That sucks. I have the same seat, but haven't had that problem. At least it didn't happen during your peak training for your A race. Oh wait, it did. That extra sucks. See you in Florida though.

BTW, do you have the race or road seat? I got the road since the only difference was it had more padding and was cheaper, 2 things I thought were good together.

I have both the ISM race and road saddles and have not had any problems with either (albeit the race saddle is relatively new) ... and love the seat.

Keep us posted on how their customer service shakes out.

I started a new thread after dealing with Blackwell Research's National Sales Manager, Dave Bunce.  Quick replies via email, even quicker response to replace the saddle.  Awesome.

I have the same problem with the seat, it started after just having it a year.  I did contact the company and they are giving a good deal to replace the seat but in communicating with the company they told me that this is normal wear and tear for their seats after just a year.

I'm curious to see if others have had this issue after about a year, or if they have had thier seats longer... while I do love the seat, and this time the company is giving me a great deal to replace it, I'm not sure if I want to replace a seat every year.. Is this normal for all the seats out there that they last around a year??

Definitely not normal for a single year of heavy use; a quality saddle should last a few years easily. I've had my Adamo Race since March '06 and except for the lettering long-ago rubbed off and very minor scuffing under the rear transition hook, it's good as new.
