Subject: BT sync'ing with SportTracks

I currently and have been for a long time using both SportTracks and BT for my logs. SportTrackes (ST) is freeware for excercise import that is very feature-rich with active development. It has a 'plugin' interface (.net) which makes it possible for data sync'ing with another app (ie BT) possible.

Initially, I wouldn't think there would be much motivation for BT sync with ST, but BT would instantly get HR/distance import from Polar & Timex devices as well as many other analysis features that are processed on the user's computer (rather than bog BT servers).  ST is also purely PC based, so you  have complete access regardless if there is an internet connection or not, so it could also be used as a backup.

I just thought I'd throw it out there as it would certainly save me some duplication of effort.

I would have to have Mike weigh in on this...though it seems that something like this would be a very 'big' project to sync the data, then requiring ongoing support...at the moment I doubt we have the time to do this along with the other BT projects...

We have a good amount of projects in mind already, so given the time/effort that would be required to create and continuously support this, I don't see us doing it any time soon.
