I had a meeting with a trainer last week.  I asked if the Y would ever do heart rate zone testing, VO2 testing, body fat dunks etc.  She said "no", but suggested I check out Kennesaw State's excercise science program.  She said they do all that sort of testing and are always looking for volunteers.  Has anyone every done this?  Anyone have a contact person in the program?

The wellness center there only tests students and employees.  One professor has done some VO2 studies so maybe he has something going... Dr. John McLester- [email protected]

Thanks for the contact.  I've e-mailed him.  I'll see what he says.  He is a prof in KSU's Sports Science program.  They advertise state of the art testing facilities (http://www.kennesaw.edu/hps/graduate/facilities.html).  I asked him about being a volunteer for student conducted testing.  We'll see what he says.

Tell him you have others who would be willing to volunteer their athletics for the sake of furthering education.

To give him something on the "other end of the spectrum" from all of you talented, skilled, hot triathletes...let him know there is a mid-fifties BOP'er that he can use for establishing something on the very front end of the nornal bell curve...

Hopefully you can get in for testing. It really depends on what populations they are using for their research. Another option is Georgia State, Dr.Doyle normally uses local athletes for his students research.
