Subject: At home Circuit, what are you doing?

Hello all, I'm looking for an at home Circuit I can do after runs or rides 3-4x per week. Nothing with heavy weights, more of body weight with a few workouts that have 5-15 lb weights. So my question is what are you guys doing??? I was thinking of some ab workouts then incoporating a stability ball for pushups and other things.

That's the abs I'm doing right now, but would like to use some light weights for injury prevention and vanity, haha. So let me know what you've got.

Thanks,Shanks

I installed a pull up bar in the garage along with a set of home made gym rings.   Both get a lot of use and easy to get a few sets in whenever walking by them.

You can also check the simplefit workouts and some of the cross fit daily workouts that don't require any additional equipment at home.

I definitely agree with your approach to strengthening your core after running or biking. Long runs will actually weaken/burn muscle in your core, so it's great to target that to compensate. I love my swiss ball. It's versatile, comfortable, and fun. You can research tons of workouts, find the ones that look the most appealing and perform 3-4 different exercises all back to back for three sets total. Or at least that's what I like to do.

Particularly, balancing the bridge pose on the swiss ball makes the burn come on much quicker which is nice.

Some calisthenic exercises I'll incorporate into workouts - push ups, chair/bench dips, handstand push ups (modified), sit-ups and back extensions (supermans), air squats and as well as modified pull-ups with rope and deck rail.

I'll also throw in some yoga poses.

I am still a huge fan of the push-up. So many variations you can do with them. I have the Perfect Pushup, which I love or I might do and insane amount of girl pushups, or chair, wide, handstand, one legged...

A complete workout in my opinion, and cheap!

Thumbs up on the superman. That is one of my all time favorite core exercises. Targets abs and lower back at the same time - I am writing down for today's workout!
