I'm not a FuelBelt fan.  Does anyone know of good running gear (not jackets, but shorts and shirts) with large pockets for distance runs?  I'm especially interested in long sleeve shirts, suitable for a late fall marathon.  Post em if you got em!

Here's my only contribution to the list:
The Sugoi Fizz Tank, which has a bike-jersey style pocket in the back.  I love it.

I also don't like fuel belts. I use my Zoot tri shorts because they have 2 giant mesh pockets right at the hips. I can stuff enough nutrition & salt tabs for a marathon in the pockets and zero bouncing/moving around.

Cycling tops are the best! I use them when I run long distance - they fit everything - generally have 3 pouches and you can get them CHEAP on Ebay!

Check out the Shebeest product line. They have a few long-sleeved training tops with either side or rear pockets.

Oomph Kilauea Compression shorts ..have 3 pockets, built in race belt for front or back plus loops for gels.

I like them for my 1/2 Marys as stuff doesn't jiggle around. I have bike jerseys galore but find stuff jiggles around.

Another brand folks recommended which I'm blanking on the brand of chaffed badly...they are distance runner shorts and long tights...crappy material and not supportive.

Thanks everyone!  I don't think I would be comfortable running in compression shorts outside of a triathlon, but I did find these Brooks shorts that have some pretty major pockets.  For a top, I'll go with a Shebeest since they don't look too much like bike jerseys.

I only really need to hold 3 Clif ShotBlok packages and 2-3 Gus for the marathon, so I think this will get me through alright.  I've been very attached to my long run outfit, but unfortunately it will probably be too cold to race with.

I just got a pair of InSport running shorts that hav a pretty big pocked in the back.... def enough room for some gels/pills. I love runningwarehouse.com....... they usually have some pretty good deals and great running clothes.

PS a bunch of Mizuno tops have pockets in them. I also recently bought a Reebok long sleeve dry fit top with a huge back pocket for my marathon last weekend, worked great!

I've seen those insport shorts at races before.  They look awesome.

Try www.raceready.com. They have shorts with a series of pockets around the back. They also have tights with the pockets. (BTW, they have shorts and tights without pockets, too. I use the shorts for running a lot. Love them.)

I think these are the ones I have.  They work well...I thought the stuff in the pockets would bounce, but it doesn't.
