fly_boy68 - 2008-12-01 6:06 PM Emerson I'll check it out. I know in my gut that it would probably be worth it but then my mind says I can do it without having to pay somebody. I'll see if I can't find something that doesn't break the bank but still gets the job done. I got a name of a couple coaches in my area today from a Tri shop so I'm gonna check those also. Thanks
Greg, There is no doubt that we can do it without a coach... I did my first three marathons without one... What I found, for me, is that a person was more help than a book or a computer program. It is expensive, but I have found this sport to be rather expensive... the bike -- and stuff for the bike, four pairs of shoes a year ++++
I am having fun but there are a lot of nice toys that go with doing tri's... it is killing me not to buy any new toys -- ah, fine equipment -- this fall. I had nothing buy tri-gear on my Christmas list. Being a long term veteran at Citigroup these days means we watch our pennies closely at the moment. I had hoped the company would fall apart last weekend and my division would be sold but no such luck. Maybe this weekend...
Good Luck, Emerson
