Only 6 minutes for me today.  I've got a head cold that's kicking my butt.  Not giving up the bonus points at this point, though!

It was only awesome because all of you triathletes participated!  I'm amazed that 9 of you did not miss a single day.  Even when you do 5 minutes, it's still better than sitting down with a handful of cookies and just letting December pass you by.  Congrats to every one of you, whether you ended up with 100 points or 5,000 points.  Keeping track of you also helped keep me focused as well, and determined to ride as much as my time would allow.  Yes, it was tedious at times, checking everyone's log over and over, sometimes searching for hidden clues that someone had done a trainer ride, but maybe only mentioned it in a paragraph.  Or back pedaling through the past weekly reports to see if you'd lost weight or not.  I'm pretty confident that all of the numbers are as accurate as I could get.  Typically I checked everyone's logs anywhere from 3-4 times per day, making sure I got everything, and hoping in the morning that I didn't miss a late-poster who might have updated his/her log after midnight.

There are no prizes except the self satisfaction that you rode your bike and you probably have a real good base fitness to use for the rest of the off season.  Mixing this up with some running and swimming and a bit of biking in Jan-Feb-Mar and you won't feel out of shape when the early season races start coming.

Thanks again for everyone's participation!!

I think you will.  Efficient and powerful cycling is something that is built up over a long period of time.  And the longer you work at it, the easier it is to get going next season.  After 33 years of cycling, I find that if I have to take 4-6 months off, I can bounce back in a matter of 2 weeks of training and be ready to ride a 50-75 miler without feeling like I'm starting from scratch.  After years of riding, you build what I call "cycling muscle memory and adaptation" and that's what you're really looking for!

Here we are at 10:30 PM....one more day to ride!!

This was a great challenge.  Thank you Max.  I'm surprised that I didn't slack on everything else in my schedule while adding all of this riding in, except swimming   .   I'm a swimming slacker anyway, though.  I'm still feeling pretty crappy with this cold (whatever it is) but I managed to get a spin class in this morning even though it was torture.  I don't really like sweating when i'm sick.

Thanks everyone!  Have a great New Year!!!

The only other time I have ridden my bike every day was on vacation last summer.  This has been harder than all get out to get on the drainer every day but sice I as trying to stay ahead of a nonswimming person (who was supposed to be swimming BTW) I kept at it.

103 min today

over 600 miles this month on my trainer....a first for distance and volume

Thank you all for hanging in there...now give your butts a collective rest day!  Everyone was amazing, I never expected such great participation.  It was fun checking logs and seeing how you all were doing.

I had a pretty poor day.  I was planning on at least a 90 minute trainer ride.  But at 9 AM I started installing new laminate flooring in my kitchen, and worked non stop until I finished at 10 PM...13 hours of up and down from my knees...up and down the stairs to the garage to cut pieces over and over.  I feel like I just did an Ironman.  It was all I could do to get on the trainer for 5 minutes!

Now here's the final totals...
