Are you part of the road rash club now?  What happened?

I'm nursing some nice spots from my wreck on sunday...  I had to shave around the area because I was in more pain ripping the tape off than from the rash!!!

Group ride yesterday. I didn't tighten my rear wheel enough. Stood up to power up a hill and catch the lead pack, wheel torqued out of the dropout and sent me over the bar. Scraped my knee, couple bruises here/there. Nothing major. Scraped my bar tape and a little spot on my saddle.

Knowing how to fall (lotsa practice on the mtb) is a good thing.

Thanks. I was planning on getting in an mtb ride today. Silly rain...

Plan calls for a short/med run, guess I'll drainer it up instead.

Jeebus, my calves have hurt for three days!!!  Today is the first day i am not walking funny, lol.  It is amaing on how much more a race takes out of you versus normal training!!

i have another race this weekend, 6.55 miles or 1/4 marathon, me and Bt'er Jsklarz are gonna run it together, he is a fellow CT Clyde and is a bit faster that me, so we are going to do it as a training run. Should be a fun time!!!

Hope everyones elsed week is going well!!!

Nice!  Yeah, a 10k will kill me compared to a 3 hour ride....  The intensity...

It was a good day today. My training program called for the longest swim so far. 600 yards. It was cake! I was surprised how good I felt. I could have kept going. After work it was raining so I decided to go for a run instead of the planned ride. Up until today all my runs were max 1 minute walk 7 minute run. I decided to try a continuous run. 20 minutes went very, well. I think I may want to change my training plan.

Great work!  It's a good boost of confidence when you end strong.  Plus you know the plan is working for you.

I want to update my training program for a olympic length tri in September. Does this seem like a good option?

Right now I am using a modified couch-sprint with the beginner 3 month swim program. Yeah I'm feeling a little, cocky.

Great job!

Soccer match was good, but somewhat disappointing. We lost 2-1, and we missed a PK in the first half. Bah.

I played pretty well, strange being out there and not feeling totally whipped after the match. I guess all this training is actually paying dividends...

I've achieved one of my goals. I weighted myself this morning 199 lbs. I can't remember the last time I was under 200. I'm hoping for a nice ride today.

I've decided to stop posting to this group. I fell I'm not getting a whole lot out of it. I understand everyone has a lot going on in their life and training and I wish them the best. Time for me to move on.........

Well, this session of mentoring has come to a close, but the thread is still active (under archives).

I realize it was a slow time of year and I hoped to have more of a round table experience and be able to help a little more, but I am happy I got the 'meet' you all!

Good luck with the rest of the season!

Congrats on your progress and success!  Sorry you didn't get much from the group.

These groups are always hard to figure out what's going to happen.  Either take off, or just move along.  Just depends on what people expect from them and how much everyone participates.

Good luck with the season!

We finally made it to Vegas, and I just found out my husband leaves in 10 days for training (for 2 1/2 freaking months).  Are they serious?!?!?!?!?!

Hope everyone else is keeping on track with their training.  I can't wait to have the insanity done and start into a routine again.
