Pre-race routine:

Evening race, and Richard came with me. Had some caffeine earlier in the day, but not much.
64th out of 1262 females. (Can you believe there were actually more females than males in a race?!??
Event warmup:

Light jogging, stretching.
  • 25m 23s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 08m 10s  min/mile

Wasn't feeling great for this one. I was happy to get this time right now in my training.
Post race
Warm down:

Lots of walking, schmoozing. It was a chilly evening, so no trouble with cooling down.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not in the best shape, and other misc. things going wrong that day.

Event comments:

Post race events were good, but I was too cold to stay around for them. Richard and I left before the awards cuz I was so cold and to be honest, didn't think I'd place with the time I had. I was shocked the next day when I looked up the results and found I placed!
