Cry

Campus was iced over again.  The internet said it was 34 degrees, but it was in the high twenties.

I would have swam if I knew that a run wasn't an option.

Welcome to my life!  Haha.  I feel like this the majority if the time, and especially when I start to ramp up the training.  At one point about a year ago I would wake up almost every night between 3am and 4am absolutely starving (and yes, I had dinner)....the kind of hunger you have to feed or you'll never go back to sleep.  So, I started leaving a granola bar on the nightstand when I went to bed.

Hey all!  For the first time in a week, I went outside today.  I ran 4 miles and am feeling pretty good.  Thanks to those of you who checked in on me!!  Sammi is still sick ~ poor kiddo!!  I'm starting to wonder if sickness has coincided with teething!?

Well, after a craptastic day yesterday, I am glad the sun is shining today.  I didn't get in me 9 mile run yesterday so it is on tap for this afternoon.  I'm not sure if I'll do all nine miles though.  We'll see how I feel.

Anyone heard from Slugger?  She's been MIA for a week or so.  Hope everything is okay.

Happy Monday everyone!

Hey all! I got up at 4:30 this morning and after getting a good breakfast, I headed to the gym for some spinning.    I really enjoyed it and plan to make it routine.

I have just learned that workouts rarely happen if I don't do them first thing in the morning. I am a morning person and find too many excuses to be lazy later in the day.

I'm a half mile away from my goal of 80 miles.  I'll get it either tomorrow or Saturday!

Great Job!

I am a bit further from my goal...it was ambitious and the weather hasn't been incredibly cooperative.  But I plant to get a few more good workouts in before the month is out.

Okay...so I managed my 12 strength sessions....and really hated most of it....I just am such a cardio addict that strength feels pointless.  I lost my goal with weight...I haven't really been consistant and will work on that more in Feb.

I could have done better...but I did more than I have in the past.  If I had been able to do the workouts that I had to miss...pool had chemical issues one morning and there was a bunch of mornings when it was too icy to run...I would have been closer.  I took off a couple of the bike workouts that I had originally stated in my goal because I didn't have access to a bike for a couple of weeks.

I am sorry to you all for not meeting my goals.  Had I run my 7 miles yesterday I would have made it but I planned it to do with a friend which meant we had to do it today instead.  I have no excuse for my pathetic attempt (more like lack thereof) at swimming.  January just wasn't my month!
