Right now I am working on pecans and a banana.  I think I will hit the applesauce next.  Maybe follow it up with the sunflower seeds.    I am a munchie girl.  I am so busy that I rarely get around to meals...and when I do it is right before bed, not so good for me.

Got my run done.   I thought maybe I'd perk up after but nope.  Still super tired.  More coffee maybe?  Maybe it's just a sleepy type of day!

Mmmmm, I'm thinking apple and peanut butter for afternoon snack!

I'm also thinking that depending on what time Mike gets home from work, I will try to get a swim and a run in ~ what are the chances?  (No matter what, I WILL run...just maybe a bit slower than usual considering tummy pain)

Sorry you are still not feeling 100%!  Bummer.

I went to my tri swim class tonight.  Had fun but I kicked a lane marker or something and the top of my foot is swollen.    Hope it's just bruised.  I don't have time for injuries!

That's great that you had fun ~ foot excluded!

I did my 3 mile run and it felt really good.  My tummy pain did decide to join me half way thru but I was able to suck my stomach in, lower my arms, slow down a bit, and push thru!

Please go away pain ~ or at least let me figure out what the heck is causing it!!

Hey gang!

I thought I posted this yesterday, but it got eaten or something. I decided to pull out of the challenge for a couple reasons. First and foremost is that I'm doing pretty subjective rankings and I don't want there to be favoritism for or against such hot determinations. So I'm popping in and around and all over. The other reasons have to do, generally, with burnout and a change in schedule that removed the only decent benefit to third shift, which was working out in the daylight. Ugh. I shouldn't have joined the challenge in the first place and felt kind of obliged to do it, then thought that was a pretty dumb reason. Getting sick just sealed the deal. So I'm laying low this month and will hopefully hit February ready and recharged!

You know I luvs all of you!

I put in a 4+ mile run this morning.  Oly training plan called for 40 minutes...4 laps of varying speed on my morning route (at school) put me at 40:40.

Hi Determination! I just got back from a weekend in San Francisco and Napa/Sonoma late last night, so I missed the posting fun this weekend! I did 2 strength sessions though and start masters again tomorrow, so I'll be able to kick my swimming into high gear! I want our team to WIN!

I hope everyone is having a great week! You all are awesome!!

Nice job everyone!

Hey Erica, I had to laugh about your choc mint GU...I just read where someone else bought a case of it knowing that it's a seasonal thing!

I am having food issues today.  I am so friggen hungry and just ate a load of chocolate.  I went to put another piece in my mouth when I asked myself, "what the heck ya doing?  You'll never see the 140s if you keep shoving chocolate down your gullet!"   Needless to say, I threw it away and am guzzling water as we speak!  Guess I don't get my after dinner choc fix tonight, huh?!

I will be heading to the gym in a few hours and was going to do lifting but after my little choco incident, I'm thinking maybe I should spend a few minutes on the elliptical!!  Now, since Sam is napping, I am off to do some push ups and abs.

Seriously, if you haven't tried the Mint Chocolate GU, get to a store and buy it!  It is fabulous!  Mine was a bit frozen today too so it was like eating a chocolate.  Sort of.   Okay, maybe more like brownie batter but still yummy just the same.
