Just got it.  Cool device.  DOes anyone know if there is a way to make the heart rate number display larger?  It is itsy bitsy and are to see.  Nothing in the manual suggests it can be displayed differently than a tiny number in the right hand corner.  Thanks.

Hey Jeff!! Go to:

Settings > General > Data Fields > Running

You can set the display for each sport from there.

Bob- it will only let me select time, best pace, calories, paused time.  HR still shows up (tiny) in the upper right corner.

Took me a little while to figure this out too....once you have selected the number of fields you want to display, hit "enter."  It will scroll to the first field and highlight the title.  If you hit enter again, you'll get a huge list of options of what to show there, including HRM.  Then you can display it in one of the larger main fields instead of the tee-tiny number in the corner.

Trust me, it can do it.  Just have to search the menus...

ALSO!!!  Keep in mind that you have several different data screens!  One for running, one for bikeing AND a third.  You might have adjusted one of the data screens to show the large HR display, but have another data screen showing (as the default).  I think you hit the "enter" button to switch between the three data screens.

Hi JSKLARZ,

One suggested approach below.

1. Settings > General > Data Fields > Main 1 > Default = 3 fields.

2. So you want to arrow up to add "4 fields".

3. Then arrow up to locate the HR field you want (there are 4 to choose from)

4. Hit "Enter" button on the right side or your Garmin

5. Hit "Mode" on left side to get back to the Main screen and voila - your HR is one of 4 fields.

 Hope you enjoy your Garmin

also you dont need to have 4 fields showing, Lots of time when I run I just have it as HR and pace, they are both nice and big
