Comments: This was my first 5k ever so I was a little nervous and not really sure what to expect. My goal was to finish without walking. I didn't walk...YEAH!!!! What would you do differently?: I would start further up in the pack on the start. I felt like I spent the first several minutes going around people and barely running. After the first 1/4 mile it spread out a lot but I felt like I lost at least a minute in the beginning because I couldn't really run due to the amount of people. Post race
Warm down: I walked around a little bit after the race, got a bottle of water and peanut butter sandwich. What limited your ability to perform faster: Since I just started running recently I would say lack of practice limited my ability to go faster. Since I am running more I think I will do better my next race. Event comments: I thought the race was a lot of fun and plan on doing more! Last updated: 2008-12-31 12:00 AM

Got up and ate 2 banana's and drank some Gatorade. Drove to the race.
Ran for about 5 minutes and stretched out my legs.
