Subject: Need help Deciding on Wheels Mavic Aksium vs Formula Xero XR-1

I'm trying to decide which wheels to get, I was looking to spend up to $300 on wheels. I have a Specialized Transition Expert, I'm 6'1" and weight 180. Any input will be much appreciated.

I haven't the experience with either wheel but I do think you get more for the $ with the Mavic (if you don't mind Frenchie products)

I can say... do not by Mavic bike computers. Blech.

Can't speak to the Formula, I have Aksiums for training wheels.  Probably have 7K miles on them, the back one finally needs a little truing.   Other than that, pretty bombproof.  Ride at about 220#

Ha, couldn't agree more about the computers.  I have the wireless Mavic w/ cadence.  I have hated it ever since I bought it, but can't get myself to buy something different.

Thanks for all the help... I have just read so many reviews trying to decide what to buy.  People either seem to love or hate the Mavic rims.  If there are any other options that price range I would be open to them.
