Comments: Lots of Traffic at first but that probably worked out as it slowed me down. Mile 2 was 9 mm which was a little faster than I wanted to go. At 3.1 got a cup of water and walked for 10 seconds. Really made a difference. Post race
Warm down: Lots of Stretches that my PT showed me What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my first post surgery race and I was a little afraid of pushing too hard and injuring myself again Event comments: This is the second time I have run it. Decent post race food. Race started on time, etc. Only negatives are cotton long sleeve race shirt instead of Tech shirt (although some preferred it) and no chip timing. PB Sandwich, Diet Pepsi, and Gatorade. My standard race breakfast. Put on my 2008 Mardi Gras 5k Race shirt (always race in it). Popped some Cliff Shot Bloks on the way to the race
1/4 mile jog.
