Subject: moving planned training data

I have read the instructions for moving/copying data but am having some difficulty.  Specifically, I am starting the 20 wk HIM plan tomorrow, and I would like to know how to easily move the planned swim workout from tuesday to monday.  (along with other changes during the week to accomodate my schedule)  Can you only move it after you have completed the workout?  Or do I want to copy and not move?  Thanks for your help.

First, I would only do a week at a time, for example, on Sunday modify your planned training only for the next week to fit your schedule so it keeps it manageable and shouldn't take more than 5 minutes per week.

The best way to do this is via your 'planned calendar'.  When in your planned calendar, use the 'copy/move/delete' link at the top left to move your workouts around individually.  You will be using the 'move' function to move for example, the swim day on tuesday to monday.  So use that link, put in the 'to' and 'from' date and select the workout (swimming in this case).

Then next week, when you are logging your completed workouts, going to your 'planned blog' you will see a link 'copy to actual' and it will copy the workout to your actual training log where you can add any comments as necessary.

New Feature Alert!

If you click on the Copy/Move/Delete link, you'll now see a Tab labeled 'By Day'. This allows you to move workouts from one day of the week to another over a specific date range.

  1. Pick a date range to work with
  2. Choose a sport 
  3. Choose a "Move from" day and a "Move to" day. They'll be listed in order starting one the "Weeks start on:" day you chose in your Training Log settings. For instance, my week starts on Monday, so my days are listed like so:
Mon
Tue
Wed
Thu
Fri
Sat
Sun

Click "Go" and after a couple of dire warnings about the irreversibility of what you're about to do... voila!

I'm pretty excited about this, it really opens up the plan customization possibilities.
