Comments:

All in all a pretty good run. I was totally ready for this race 3 weeks ago, but have since had some asthma issues and did not run, bike or swim most of February. I had decided not to do this race after I went out and ran .8 miles 2 weeks ago and had to walk home. However, have felt better and did a "test" run Thursday of 3.75 miles and felt OK. Of course, I was sore from that run. Anyhow, it felt good to be back in a 'race situation'. Only done 1 race since IMLP, so I needed the environment to energize me. Was at 8:15 through 3.75, 8:19 at the halfway point and able to come in under 8:30 for the race, so I was pretty happy given where I had been. The conditions were perfect if maybe a touch warm the last few miles, but nothing to complain about. I did PR because I have not run this distance in 8 years, so that is nice. I would really like to try this distance as an 'A' race one of these years just to really see what I can do.
What would you do differently?:

Be more consistent in training.

Event comments:

Great race, they have been doing this a while. Not too sure about why there was no water at the finish line, had to walk 1/4 mile out into the crowd to find people with water, which is a little tough when you are still lightheaded from the run.
