woke up late.. some stretching, ate some breakfast yogurt and granola cereal... 4 glasses of water..
Event warmup:

did some polyometrics.. achilles was tight..

very surprised in my run today.. was relaxed and comfortable in my pace.. awesome race
What would you do differently?:

i would have trained more.. i could have maybe run a sub 2hr

walked HR down.. stretching throughout.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

training.. travel for work..

Event comments:

great race.. need more gel stations.. i didn't see the one station that was there.. missed it i guess..

Good job, Gel was supposed to be at that water stop at the beginning of the loop but I never saw any there.

If I remember correctly, there is only gel for the full-not the half.  I think the first time I did Shamrock I was surprised at the lack-o-gel...but since then, I pretty much count on no gels on the 1/2 course.  There were plenty on the ground that people dropped!  If you were feeling desperate (and brave).

Good race!  It was perfect weather.

in the book, the race course showed a gel station around mile 7 or something like that.. not saying that it would have made a difference or anything... just knowing i had access to one..

you know what mean ??!!
