Pre-race routine:

had some GA and checked I had everything
Event warmup:

walked around the event, some puss-ups to get the blood pumping
Swim
  • 05m 29s
  • 328 yards
  • 01m 40s / 100 yards
Comments:

I do not like swimming in pools after this race. I lanes where narrow everyyyyyyyyy hard to pass and lost 50 sec and alot of energy to try and pass 3 people. Headed butted in to swimmer coming down the lane trying to pass( friends say it did not look pretty)
What would you do differently?:

I rather put a veryyyyyyyyy slow time to swim last and have the pool to myself . Pick races that have better pool swims.
Transition 1
  • 02m 38s
Comments:

I was close to the bike start so did not worry about speeding up.Longggg run from the swim and road was rough to run on
What would you do differently?:

Start biking with out socks will save me a minute and practice mounting and pedaling with shoes already on bike
Bike
  • 40m 59s
  • 11.5 miles
  • 16.84 mile/hr
Comments:

Bike I felt great first lap was in areo position most the way passed 3 people and never saw any behind me. Second lap pushed alittle hard but got worried I would burn my legs out for the run so slowed down and lost momentum and got passed by two people . On Robin Hood a bunch of us bunched together over the speed bum and had to get off my seat to pass three rider so not to get a penalty for drafting and I was the only one on the second lap almost about to finish in that bunch. I was surprised at my time because my bike computer said I finished in 38:45m and distance was 11.89 miles. So alittle confused but oh well I felt great off the bike.
What would you do differently?:

Train more to go all out on the bike and not worry about my legs.
Transition 2
  • 01m 17s
Comments:

it was hot and I just took my time to get my bike shoes off and get a last squeeze of hammer gel and water and run. Grabbed my had and number belt and was off . I was right by the bike finish and start so had a small run to the run start.
What would you do differently?:

Run with out socks and drink my while on the bike and take a gel on the bike .
Run
  • 32m 26s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 10m 26s  min/mile
Comments:

Running is my worst part . Just have not build enough endurance yet to run all the way. I have improved my time with every tri I had so far this year. I did enjoy friends passing me encouraging me to keep going THANKS GUYS and the lady 83 I think she took me all the way in to the finish with a full on sprint saying COME ON 100 LETS GOO COME ONNNN ,which helped me out on my time so thank you.
What would you do differently?:

training more on my running with short quick runs to build my endurance and do longer and longer distances. Basically STOP working out and start training.
Post race
Warm down:

Just walked around and talked to friends. packed up my stuff and took it to the car.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Slower swimmer because I could have been closer to my goal of 1:19:00 for race and my run

Event comments:

The swim needs to change some how and the bike course needs to be measured again because I spoke to two top finisher and some others and we all had the similar reading on our bike computers for the distance Avg 11.87 . I had fun though and well organized alotttttttt more fun than Azalea Tri a month back and better organized.
