i too subsribe to the purgatory theory...
the other one thats been zipping around in my subconcious is that the whole thing revolves around Walt (the kid). He was reading a comic book that had all these superpowers in it and a polar bear before they were attacked by one.
He also was able to "control" the dice when playing backgammon with Hurly. Methinks that its walts dream on the flight from Sydney to LA.......

Actually the producers have said it definatly isn't purgatory or a dream. I'm thinking it might have somethuing to do with WWII. Did you know the 1st a-bomb was dropped at 8:15am. That number keeps coming up over and over...

oy...I missed a ton...This was a good refresher. Was gone the last four weeks...didn't get TIVO set before I left...but it's top priority now!

My husband has a theory that all the animals and scary things on the island are somehow figments of Walt's imagination. He is a creepy little kid, that's for sure...

Woopsies, got that one wrong! I thought the same thing, too obvious. The whole time I kept thinking Jack would somehow save him. Was I the only person who was under the impression that last nights show was supposed to be a NEW EPISODE and instead I got a rerun?!? GRRRRRRR. What a letdown. Wasn't a total loss, left me a half hour (before dark) to get in a quick run...but STILL!
