Age Group Rank = 7/12
Pre-race routine:

Lot's of cycling!
Event warmup:

No real warm up, I felt good. I know I should have done a short run... next time!
Run
  • 21m 3s
  • 5 kms
  • 04m 13s  min/km
Comments:

I took off and ran this like it was a 5k alone! I felt great, first mile in 5:4x. I was strong!
What would you do differently?:

I would normally say 'Pace myself better' here but for this race, it worked well to go out hard.
Transition 1
  • 00m 55s
Comments:

I was a little excited getting into T1 as I knew I just rocked the 5k. So I was a little shakey.
What would you do differently?:

I probably should practice my Transitions a little more.
Bike
  • 53m 20s
  • 30 kms
  • 33.75 km/hr
Comments:

Good bike, I didn't feel as strong on the bike as I wanted to. A couple of the hills got me due to the wind. I dropped gears and ran my cadence up.
What would you do differently?:

I need to train on some hills more.
Transition 2
  • 00m 33s
Comments:

I couldn't unclip my left foot coming into T2. Don't know why.
Run
  • 22m 33s
  • 5 kms
  • 04m 31s  min/km
Comments:

I forgot my FR 305 on my bike in T2, so I wasn't sure where I was at during my run as far as pace. I actually felt a bit slow, but turns out I still had a PB 5k (excluding my first 5k today).
What would you do differently?:

Need to do more runs after my biking.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around the finish area. Ate lightly and drank a bunch of water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I need to practice hills, biking and running.

Event comments:

Typical 3D race, but things went smooth.

Rain after the race caused 3D to rush the awards. Can't stop the Thunderstorms.

So how is the new tri bike treating you out there - other than getting clipped out?
