Run
Comments: Debated prior to this race whether I would run for a PB or just use this as a training day for my Half Iron. After my start decided to use it as a training day. Legs just didn't feel like they had any go in them. Tried to stay consistant with my run and not have so much fall off like previous years. Always felt good and in control during the run. Walked the aid stations to stay better hydrated than previous years. Must have stayed hydrated since I had to stop and use the porta john between mile 10 and 11. Took Gels at first and third aid stations. Maybe could have used one more. Ran across the finish line with my son and nephew. Was my slowest half marathon ever but I felt the best when I was done. Followed my plan and feel like I am ready to continue training this week. Mile 1 8:54 Mile 2 9:13 Mile 3 9:38 Mile 4 10:00 Aid Station Mile 5 9:47 Mile 6 9:23 Aid Staiton Mile 7 9:46 Mile 8 10:15 Aid Staion Mile 9 10:40 Mile 10 9:49 Mile 11 12:07 Aid staion and bathroom Mile 12 10:08 Mile 13.1 11:38 Aid Station Post race
Warm down: Walked around and rehydrated. What limited your ability to perform faster: Need more training as usual. Last updated: 2009-01-22 12:00 AM
