Comments: Lost three minutes waiting in line for a portta potty at mile 2. I didn't have a chance to go at the start. My split times indicate I did not go that hard early on, but I think I did. I had almost no training the last 3 weeks before the race. At mile 21 I simply started to fall apart. Hydration was good. Volunteers weren't mixing the Powerade properly. It was hard to guess how many calories I was getting. What would you do differently?: Adequate training. Bring 2 or 3 gels. Show up earlier Post race
Warm down: walking and light massage What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training Event comments: Poor parking control at start. Lack of shade at finish. Medical personell were neglecting a runner in the finish chute who showed serious symptoms of confusion and inablity to communicate. She was simply sitting in the sun on the asphalt staring at the ground. Me and some other runners had to get help for her. Scary. Last updated: 2009-05-12 12:00 AM

I did not really warm up. The Shuttles took longer than expected and I was dropped off at the start at 6:27
