Subject: Reset Garmin?

Yesterday the Garmin 305 worked fine on my run. I got home put it in the charger and it said it was charging then complete maybe half an hour later. I took it off the charger and everything was fine. This morning I went to turn the Garmin on and I got nothing. I tried several things - attaching it to the wall charger, attaching it to the computer, hitting other buttons and well - I got nothing. I've had the unit for a year and a half (my wife gave it to me for Christmas 2007).

So,
Is there some kind of reset combination of buttons that can get unit to reset?
Anyone else have this problem and was there a way to resolve the issue?

I'll call Garmin soon to see what they say.

I believe you just hold down on both buttons for an exteneded (like 10 sec) and it will reset. If not, call them and they will ship you one after you ship your back. From my experience they have greta customer service. i had one for 2.5 years, ran a race and a little water was in the face. It would look like it was charging but when I took it off - nothing. We tried to reset over the phone and then they just had me ship it back and they sent me a brand new one even though I told them it was 2.5 yo.

Reset: To power the unit back on, press the "Mode" and "Reset" buttons at the same time. Let go of those two buttons, press the power button, and the unit will turn back on."
